My Tempos are not fast but at the right speed to sing with understanding of words... I have been listening to choirs singing too fast... No one knows what the hell anyone is saying at ALL!!!
In my opinion singing at the speed we talk is best of all. You then can hear the words and still get the feeling of action and movement.
Now those that have had enough of proving how fast their choir can sing, now it is time to slow way down, those choirs can be understood with all words getting out the us, the listener.
